Our Mission is to is to foster college-ready graduates by providing a learning community where all scholars, regardless of learning style, limits, or abilities are empowered to become innovative thinkers through their learning experiences, which engages them in the interconnectedness of the academic disciplines with cultural, character, and social responsibility.

Excelsior College Preparatory Academy is a tuition-free public charter school option for 6th through 12th grade Louisiana students. ECPA is located in Abbeville, Louisiana and any student in Louisiana may seek to attend. There are no restrictions based on cities, zip codes, school zones, or affordability.
ECPA provides a rigorous academic curriculum and seeks to prepare its students to be college and career ready upon graduation. ECPA also seeks to prepare its students to be passionate contributors of society who help to build the communities in which they live.
What we Offer
By providing a college-preparatory, customized and data-driven education model with a focus on student-centered learning and character development, Excelsior College Preparatory Academy will assist with increases in the overall graduation, retention, and college enrollment rates. All ECPA scholars will graduate with at least three Carnegie college credits earned concurrently while pursuing a High School diploma. In addition, ECPA scholars will develop into citizens cognizant of their cultural, character, and social responsibility.
